Stewarding the River of Deep Memory

I am Suzanne Fisher. I am a partner, mother, daughter, sister, friend, philosopher, scientist, teacher, healer & Trauma-Steward. I seek to perceive and care for the parts of our psyches frozen in the past - creating patterns of dissonance in the present. Together we will co-steward your inner Deep River to create new channels for your Unconscious to flow freely and restoratively into the future.

How do you experience this question in your body?  (close your eyes, take a breath or two and with each inhale repeat “I” and each exhale “Am” and attend to your inner world….)

If this could be a daily journal prompt, you might discover that You are a living Mosaic of parts—each one possessing unique strengths, medicine, needs, fears, feelings, body sensations, opinions, burdens and agendas.

I Steward—or “perceive and care for” other womxn’s embodied, safe, creative journeys within and below, into their own deep waters of the unconscious.

These deep waters hold memories, which carry implicitly believed myths, yearning for the Light of our own Awareness and Care.  The process of co-Stewarding these waters creates a connection to your ability to Self-Steward.

Who am I?

I am Science & Soul. I seek to understand and relay the Science behind therapeutic, experiential approaches that create transformational change. The Soul of this Shadow Work creates access to each person’s unique alchemy of post-traumatic integration and growth.

About Science & Soul

I call the Science of this journey memory reconsolidation.

I use theoretical and experiential trauma-informed tools such as poly-vagal rituals, EMDR, IFS, ancestral inquiries & the Enneagram to support my Self & others.

We call the Soul of this journey: Shadow Work.

Shadow work helps us uncover implicit learnings such as “I am bad”, “I am not enough”, “I am not worthy” and “I am not safe.” Transformational change occurs when we bring these implicit learnings into explicit awareness, which allows our inner operating system to update with our own adaptive Wisdom.

Re-Membering our parts, burdens and memories requires a grief pause of witnessing before the rebirth of awareness creates the new, updated version of your living Mosaic.

Trauma-Informed Enneagram

Trauma-informed Stewardship woven with Wisdom from the 9 archetypes of the Enneagram. Replacement of DSM-led categorizations with a spacious, ancient, creative, sustainable, compassionate, Self-led Inquiry. Resulting in a Soul-Full practice of relating compassionately to Self, Others & the World.

IFS: The Language of Trauma & Space

We all speak in parts—a part of you is reading this and other part(s) may be judging, planning, or analyzing what you are going to do next. IFS, or Internal Family Systems, theory and application, provides a Language for the Self; a stewardship practice of attending, attuning, and befriending parts of our Selves. When we have space, we become aware of and curious about how our own inner polarities create constant internal tugs of war—zapping our bodies/hearts/minds of all the Energy we have.

A no-pressure chat, where I can walk you through every step of the process.

I specialize in Stewarding womxn through the sometimes raging waters of their own unconscious to begin to connect to a deeper well of Self-led Knowing. In these waters, we become immersed in listening to the wisdom that each part within holds.

As we navigate these waters with curiosity, we learn that each part of us is seeking to be seen, heard, and cared for. By bringing attention and care to these young parts of our Selves, we re-Member the memories and burdens they have been carrying for decades and witness the ways they have valiantly protected us from the wounds or “traumas”of living. What I’ve learned from my Stewardship journeys, is that this depth work renews connection to each person’s Inner Source of peace, calm, and safety—creating canyons of limitless, magickal possibility.

  • "The starting point is the self. Its essence is water. Only clarity, willingness to change, is effective now. A correct relationship to your self is primary, for from it flow all possible right relationships with others and with the Divine."

The Book of Runes, Ralph Blum

  • “When I started to work with IFS, I was buoyed by the idea of returning to our birthright of wholeness through offering attention and care to each part of myself as it adorably, horrifyingly, ceaselessly, and sometimes pain fully presented itself.”

  • “Inner work is more of a matter of right orientation than a sequence of practices, a specific set of values, or being an accomplished mediator. Rather than doing things the “right” way, inner work is based on the sincerity of our Wish: our Conscious Need for freedom.”

John Luckovich, The Instinctual Drives & the Enneagram

  • “Lift up the self by the Self, And don’t let the self droop down. For the Self is the self’s only friend; And the self is the Self’s only foe."

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 6 Verse 5

  • "The human soul is ancient and mythic by nature. It can hold views as opposite as chaos and creation, as contrary as hate and love, as exclusive as progress and collapse. And because of this deep knowing, the soul can survive all the lost dreams and tragic reve rsals that the times of chaos bring to the world."
